you want to mention Tennis??? really??? consider Australia, historically is only second to the greatest Tennis nation to walk the face of the earth, GB can't hold a candle to Australias tennis history, you haver one surly sweaty jock who is British when he wins & Scottish when he loses
Again, Cricket, in the modern era Australia have been largely dominant & should tear you a new one this coming series
TDF.....well hes Kenyan/ South African but we get the picture, Bring on the new guard, Richie Porte
Formula one...pffft my cars faster than your car because i'm rich
boxing...thats just because you're a third world country, its admirable that you have young migrants that are eager to break free of poverty, & its nice that they want to entertain the rich
Surprised you can type these through the laughter
When was the last time an Australian won a tennis grand slam?? Why only consider modern cricket but all of tennis history?
He represents Britain because he wants to and who can blame him
Lewis Hamilton does not pay for his car, he races for the best team because he is the best driver
You obviously do not know what 3rd world means (Britain was pretty heavily involved in NATO) but I know the Aussie school system isnt too good Also Britain was the first country to industrialise and Aus is literally 95% desert wasteland, and is a richer country than Aus by pretty much any metric Also the majority of world boxing champions have come from the USA- the richest country in the world Also you JUST said that Hamilton only wins because of money, but then call Britain poor
But yea apart from that you really made some good points
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
When was the last time an Australian won a tennis grand slam??
Samantha Stosur won the 2011 US Open. She was the first Aussie slam winner since Leyton Hewitt won his second at Wimbledon in 2002....who in turn followed Pat Rafter who won the last of his slams in 1998. He followed Pat Cash who followed Christine O'Neill, who in turn followed Kerry Melville....at which stage we get to the same year that Virginia Wade won in the Queens Jubilee Year.... Tell us again about Andy Murray who was the first British man to win in 76 years and British player in 35 years since Wade....yeah...Let's talk some more about tennis...where the Davis Cup sees 47 Finals appearances and 28 wins for Australia whilst Team GB come in with 18 appearances and 10 wins. Simply put....and I'll put it simply because the UK education system isn't all that....since Fred Perry won the last of his majors in 1936, Britain has won 5 Majors and 1 Davis Cup......compared to 111 ...that's ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN Majors and 22...that's TWENTY TWO Davis Cups for 'stalya!

So...that's the the top 7 team sports AND Tennis
Why are you now talkining about history? When talking about RL or cycling or whatever you talked about the current rankings, being a bit selective aren't you
Also this is all a bit redundant, in England the only sport that the majority care about is football (which we rank far higher than you lot) all other sports are secondary by far Just like in NZ with RU (which they rank higher at) Aus is the only country where RL dominates the press (admittedly only in NSW and QLD) so they rank higher at that
The other sports that have a decent following in Britain we tend to do well in, boxing, cricket, athletics (though most people only watch the olympics) I recon the majority of people in Britain prefer Federer to Murray and could not even name a single British basketball or netball or hockey player, or whatever other obscure sport you want to drag up that no-one watches or cares about

I really dont think you have anything to crow about when it comes to football
