That's not what it should be about. Doesn't look great on tv or for anyone attending the stadium to have it at a 60/70k seater stadium and only have 25-30k of fans there - looks like no one gives a monkeys about it.

Barcelona is just a non starter, if we can't fill a UK stadium then no chance of there!! A smaller stadium in the south of France could be an option though - gives more French fans to get to the event and British fans to have a weekend away in the sunshine, if that's what they want...

By Barcelona they mean using Estadi Olímpic Lluís Company's which holds 54,000 so only 2,000 more than st james' not Nou Camp, that really would be daft!

I like the idea of Barcelona, they filled nou camp for top 14 final so would like to think we could get a few locals in the smaller ground, have nice weekend in the sun and a banging party! Good few tanned Spanish tarts to embarrass myself in front of as well, we would rip that town up! Get Barcelona 2018 tattooed on me as well as some random girls name who I cant remember! Hahahaha!! :D

Me too, that would be an epic weekend!

Barcelona for me as well, it would be great.

Looking at the results Coventry is one of the lowest so we'll most probably end up there

What are people's views on Birmingham? The football teams aren't as massive, no big RU teams (I think?), untapped yet fairly close to our traditional base. If the locals like what they see it is manageable start going to Warrington games, or Coventry Bears if they don't fancy travelling.

I'd go for that, in terms of villa park, just about right size ground at 42,000, I always say that a full ground is more important that a big one half empty cos it creates a better atmosphere. Not a hard ground to get to on public transport either cos there is a train station just about across the street from it, just change in city centre I guess. As you say, no massive rugby presence in the city so would be good to get in there, especially seen as it is the second biggest city in the country and close to Coventry where rfl seem to be obsessed with so can still tap into that supposed market.

I don't know why the RFL are so exercised about Coventry (if they are), the Wasps are in on the ground floor there, attracting decent crowds, in the Premiership final, I think.

Don't know Birmingham really, no strong feelings either way on that. Newcastle's not for me, anywhere else I don't mind that much.
