So according to the NRL's official website, yesterday was rugby leagues first ever internation game in Perth. How disrespectful to England who have played games in Perth, but clearly don't class as an international fixture in the NRL's eyes. "I'm really enjoying being part of the Kangaroos team, we've had a new sprinkling of youth injected into our squad, which is great for our team and great for the younger guys in our squad, it brings a new sort of energy to our program." Likewise Scott, who will play his 18th Test in the first ever rugby league international in Perth, can see no end in sight for his representative career. ""I will play until I don't get picked. That is how I see it, while ever I can do my job for the jersey I will," Scott said. "I would love to have a successful Four Nations and be a part of the World Cup next year. "That would be a great result for me. But I am not going to put any timeline on it. Likely just a cock-up by whoever wrote it. I read an article on there yesterday that mentioned it was the first test Australia had played in Perth since the 1982.

Attendance was 20, 283.

Every time I see a game staged in Perth it seems to be lashing down with rain. Do they get more winter rain in WA than NSW and QLD?

Why? The RFL would get a right slagging if they took a game out of the heartlands and only drew 20k.

Yeah the ground was full. Full of Kiwis though. Selfishly I would love to see more NRL in WA as it means they could have even longer Super Saturdays or Friday night double bills - but the public really don't care there.

Still - I think the attendance is great. The game wouldn't have drawn many more fans in Sydney.
