Steven Menzies was 39 when he retired. Gregory Bird is as fierce a competitor as Steven, and will inspire his team to reach new heights that Hull FC can only dream of.

We only dicked you four times out of four this season, sticking 132 points past you in the process. :D
So who knows, the bar brawling, cop car urinating, glass smashing, sex-text pest, may just elevate you to dizzy new heights next year.
But then again.....................

Hull FC was lucky to be facing a Catalans team that was riddled with injuries to key players this year. Hopefully next year will be different.

The man you describe in such jaundiced terms has a track record at Catalans from 2009. He took a team that was very poorly coached, and lifted them to 80 minutes away from the Grand Final. We expect that next year or the year after he will be able to go one or two steps better, and get to and perhaps win the Grand Final. He is an inspirational leader, so if Richard Myler, Paul Aiton, Krisnan Inu, Anthony Gigot, Jodie Broughton and Fouad Yaha are all fit, the team has the capacity to win games against the best of Super League.

Gregory Bird has been released from his contract with the Gold Coast Titans and will return to the Catalans Dragons in 2017 on a 5 year deal worth AU$2.7 million.

Bird is now 31, so the Catalans have expectations of Bird playing until age 36 (3 years less than the legendary Steven Menzies)

You do realise his name is actually Greg not Gregory. By that I mean Greg is not his shortened name but actually the one on his Birth Certificate. You can chose to have the diminutive as the actual name rather than a shortening of the full name if you wish.

My sons mate is called Alfie, which is his full name not the diminutive of Alfred.

Just thought you'd like to know and thus save us all from this tedious bit of bufoonery on your part :SUBMISSION:

Nah, a clown is often funny and humorous... Jean "Crapdozey" is neither, just a rather monotonous annoying twonk.....that's why he's on my ignore list, just wish admin could sort it so that his posts don't even appear when someone quotes them.......

Jean - Vasty is the chief immigration control officer at Manchester Airport. You know - a bit like the one in the BBC comedy "come fly with me". He's called Ian Foot (played by David Walliams) here is a link :-
