Top 3 in the team, 4th on the bench and 5th in the squad. I've put SR & loose together as so many players are interchangeable. Unfortunately a few injuries here IMO Ben Currie is a big loss.

Long term a back row of Currie Ward and Bateman is going to be excellent for England and Great Britain (if it comes back like it should). Unfortunately Currie is injured and Ward's not long back from the same injury.
Joe Westerman's been one of Wire's best players this season as has Jack Hughes who seems to play very well for 80 every week but nobody ever mentions him.
Every time i watch McMeeken play he impresses me. Obviously Whitehead and SBurgess are cracking players and Bateman is in the top 5 players in SL.

That's what I'd opt for too.

We have some really good backrow options at the moment. I'd throw Stevie Ward and Gareth Ellis into the mix too.
Sam Burgess, Bateman and Whitehead are dead certs. I'd probably put Ward and Westerman in the squad too.
Gutted for Currie, but hopefully we'll see him fit and firing come World Cup time.

In the absence of Currie I’ve gone for Sam Burgess, Whitehead, Bateman, Farrell and Hughes.
I like Hughes he’s big, got a good engine and a decent rugby brain. I actually prefer him to Farrell who lacks size for Test level IMO.

Bateman may be a bit small but I like his versatility. He can cover centre and backrow if needed.

Bateman can offer good cover for backrow and Centre. I still think Ferres warrants a spot. He hadn't been great this year but he has money in the bank from the past couple of international years IMO.
