No offence to him or Wakey fans, but as good a prospect as he is, if Tom Johnstone is seen as a 'certainty' for an England spot then we are in trouble.
I'm not saying he isn't good enough but to pick a young kid who is by all ends,still learning the game and has for most of his career played in a fairly poor side is crazy.
Where's the England knights gone?

I think most Wakey fans would agree Meast that Johnstone isnt readynfor international level. Mcgillvary and Hall shouldnt be certainities tho

Why shouldn't they be certainties? It's about 6 weeks off the 4N with 2 games left in the season. Are you expecting Adam Swift to have an incredible final 2 games and cement a place in the England team?

He's not ready but he would still have been the best option if fit and you just can't stand that - had he been a Hudds player youd have been touting him for month you utter hypocrite.

What it does show is that had Tom Johnstone not fractured a bone in his leg he would have been an absolute certainty compared to the opposition because compared to most of those mentioned he's a real 100% winger. Even on his return and not fully fit and in an out of form team he's still averaging nearly a try a game and 20 tries in 25 appearances and 4 MOM.

Yes but looked how Fonua brushed him off other week, what would Inglis do? I'm not knocking the kid and in a couple of years I fully expect him to develop and him and Manfredi be our wingers for England. Just feel it's a touch early for him. But he certainley has pace and knows how to finish

Such a pity Manfredi is injured. I'd have loved to see him fully fit having a run against NZ/Aus.

If he was fit, I'd probably go with him & Hall. Looking at the players available I'd go with Hall & McGilvray, with Joe Burgess in the squad.

Tom Johnstone has a bright future ahead of him and has had a really good season, I just don't feel he's quite ready yet.
