The Wembley Effect : Sun Aug 28, 2016 1:38 pm
Firstly congratulations to both teams for producing an intense final.I just wonder what effect it will have on the rest of the season.
For Hull, I am sure they are professional enough not to party too much this week but it looked like an emotionally draining victory.
They're bound to have a few bumps and bruises so It's going to be difficult to get up for the game at Saints this Friday and they also have to face Wigan and Warrington in their last two fixtures.
For Warrington there was no shame in defeat, it could spur them onto the Grand Final, but the loss of Gidley and an away trip to Catalan aren't an ideal follow up.
Similarly they have to play Hull again and derby games against Wigan and Widnes.
It's going to be an interesting four weeks, it may well turn out that Wigan and/or Saints are the teams that benefit most from yesterday.
