CC Semi-Final: Warrington vs Wakefield : Sat Jul 30, 2016 3:37 pm
Worst game and worst advertisement for rugby league in a semi-final in years. How can the RFL feel when woeful Wakefield serve up this kind of rubbish on free to air television? It was shameful.

I can only hope that the likes of Toulouse and Toronto will eclipse this parochial team in the near future and start to give our game the brilliant rugby league displays that the BBC viewers hunger for.

Yes, I know how you must feel given your club's last Challenge Cup final appearance at Wembley was even more of an embarrassment.

We need to see closely matched games at this time of the year, not one sided wallopings, because we have millions of British and Northern Irish people, and in fact people from all over the world, watching our game. That is why I pray for the emergence of new powerhouse teams in the next few years, perhaps Toulouse and Toronto, who will give us the close contests that the BBC viewers crave.

In fact Toulouse vs Toronto at Wembley would be quite an event that I would love to see.

I know the OP is trolling, but it was practically a recreation of last years NRL Grand Final compared to Wigan 70-0 London a few years back, now that was an embarrassment to the game.

Catalans have hit a slump at this time, in part because of injuries to a slew of star players. But Catalans will come out of it and power their way back into the big time -- a big time that has been denied to Wakefield by their poor performance today.

Craig Hall has seen the writing on the wall and he is leaving Wakefield and heading for the newly emerging rugby league force, Toronto Wolfpack, in 2017. There really is no substitute for the allure of the lights of a big cosmopolitan city, and a good paycheck. That is why Craig Hall is leaving Wakefield for Toronto.

Replace Catalans with Wakefield today there wouldn't be a difference, except there'd be two empty stands.

Correct Jean, the last thing the game needs is embarrassing drubbings like today, but at least Wakefield's capitulation was just a one-off for this prestigious event.

In the unlikely event of this ever happening, I'm sure I would be able to pick you out in the crowd (well I say crowd)

You'd be sat in the stand doing the Todd Carney bubble.
