The guy is an idiot. But he's funny. He's like an extremely lesser educated version of Stevo. i can imagine he has "r" and "l" painted on his shoes. I hope he stays at Wigan for a long time

First words in his interview yesterday was- 'the best team won'.

As ever he was magnanimous in defeat. I wish a few more coaches showed his class.

Funny,although he did say the best team won, he isn't usually magnanimous in defeat.
Did he not go on and have a pop at the ref for Saint's holding down tactics (pot & kettle spring to mind there) and to criticise the ref for allowing it.
Sounds more like sour grapes than being magnanimous

I couldn't give a monkeys one way or the other but he did say something similar to what the OP says ,so it's not the full interview he did on SKY. Somehow those parts have been left out on WW.com version.

I was a bit worried about what Phil Bentham wanted to do with his stinker to be honest,

"Sam, Sam, give him ten"

"Well done Sam, no retaliation"

"OK Sam, I'll have a look next time"

Hmmm, when Bentham was seen buying a tube of KY jelly shortly before the game in a Wigan chemist people were unsure why. I'm sure Sam was pleased he bought it though.
