Set to fold apparently. Get your arses into gear RFL you helped out Bradford now do the same for York. Stop looking for fancy locations to "expand" and get your own house in order. Family game? B*ll*cks.

Not sure what The Rfl can do if this is the case, York have always been strugglers, and folded or nearly folded 3-4 times. There is clearly no appetite for proffestional RL in York. Or proffestional sport in general.

The York owner is killing the club off, despite offers from other clubs to host their games.

I can assure you that the RFL are not at fault in this and are actively working to save the club.

It needs the York owner to be out of the picture though.

early in the season, the chairman was threatening to pull the plug

Shame to hear, not just for the game but of course for the fans more than anyone. Saw a game at Dewsbury a few years ago and they seemed a great bunch. Reading the statement, I'm just struggling to read it as anything other than their chairman taking his ball home. The rfl are a bluddy disgrace. Fast tracking these forrin teams while the real clubs are left to die ! When will they learn that expansion doesnt work

Folded/packed in.....The RFL weren't arsed when Blackpool packed in, likewise York RLFC. Maybe the RFL have tried to help, who knows...not read anything that they have though.

It's sad to hear any team folding but especially in the season. If the York Chairman has had enough, I wonder why the RFL can't step in and run the club at least till the end of the season then take it from there. There are places that the games could have been played if the people involved and the RFL had the appetite. It also sounds like the owners have had a tough time of it as far as support from the local Council.
