How about scrapping neutral grounds and have the first team out plays at home like in other rounds.

Don't particularly think it would increase crowds and, of course, it negatively affects one team.

Better off trying to make them events, in my opinion.

Because the playoffs have home advantage worked out based on league position (you earn it) so it would be stupid.

The earlier rounds have less pull to them. The semis should be a lot bigger occasion and it's through lack of a marketing strategy for them that they remain around the 12-15k mark.

Not a problem with Doncaster but Friday night is a bit of a struggle due to work commitments. Will definitely try and get there though!

headingley is a dump and shouldn't be used for prestige games until it is redeveloped. If they put the games on in larger venues and reduced ticket prices they would get more fans attending

Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.

Re: CC Semi Final Draw : Tue Jun 28, 2016 9:52 pm
Try to make more of an event. Perhaps season tickets could include a free CC semi final ticket that only the four competing teams could use. I assume they don't include them for an earlier round anymore. Only four clubs would ever be able to use but persuade a few more to attend.

The prices are £17 and £20 for the 2 semis. That's cheaper than a regular SL game.

Larger venues mean larger costs.

We have to develop them as events. Get them sold out first at the current low prices and then look to bigger venues after that.
