Whatever happens it is to be hoped that Wakefield is knocked out in the semi-finals. Otherwise we will be forced to sit through a 50 point thrashing by Hull or Wigan at Wembley, such as we had to endure last year.

Why. We've beaten Wigan and Warrington already and Hull was a good game.

Apart from David Fifita, Anthony England, Mickael Simon, and Jacob Miller there is not enough talent and big game experience at Wakefield to trouble Hull FC.

I just hate a one sided game, especially when it is the most widely viewed rugby league game of the year in the UK. Warrington, if Chris Sandow is fit, is likely to put up a much stronger resistance to Hull FC than Wakefield could possibly do.

We have to think about the prestige of rugby league's biggest public event, in terms of viewership, which the Challenge Cup final is. I wish Wakefield well, as always, but I cannot see them making a contest out of the Cup Final.

I think we would want Donny out of those two of course but they might think that we would take more fans to Leigh than Wigan would to Donny so there is that to consider.

Or maybe you’re slightly worried a nightmare scenario comes true.

The chances of Wakefield getting past Warrington are fairly slim, but plausible, however based on Wigan’s first half showing tonight & the majority of Hull’s performances this season, they have little to no chance in the final.

One team packed full of mainly top S.L. players against a team with a few decent top S.L. players, there’s only one winner isn’t there?
