Earlier this year, the RFL agreed June 12th for an England Ladies game v France. The French subsequently booked 35 flights with Ryanair shortly after the date was confirmed.

Somehow, Red Hall has forgotten about game, despite the date being published in the women's handbook. They have failed to book a venue or even hold trials for players.

As a result, the French have had to cancel their flights and bill Red Hall for their expenses. How on earth can this happen within a professional governing body?

That's an absolute disgrace if true, and will only add weight to the Doctors vote of no confidence bid...

The women's game as a whole is a complete mess and is forgotten about.

I forget the age at which girls and boys are split (is it 13?) but the complete lack of girls teams means most girls just drop out of the sport entirely. And of course there's very little effort put in to encouraging girls to start playing in the first place.

While the women in Union get to play in world cups. Women's rugby league is a mess.

It would be wrong of me to publicly announce that.

Every business makes regular mistakes and oversights, but an oversight like this is beyond belief. It suggests that staff at Red Hall are spreading themselves too thinly, or don't have the appropriate guidance and leadership. Or both.

We have a women's team??? Only joking I did actually know that although this is the first time I have heard anyone say anything about them in god knows how long.

I'm not joking I didn't think our sport was big enough to have a women's team in any capacity

Surely it's earlier than 13. The size of some lads at that age the girls would get seriously hurt.

What more do you think could be done to "encourage" young girls to take up Rugby League when most of them aren't interested in sport as a whole?
