I thought I'd have a crack at getting some talk going here. I know they have the Game On thread but it might do this place some good to have some good discussion about the SKY games beforehand.
The 19 of each side:
Matt Cook, Ben Crooks, Luke Dorn, Paddy Flynn, Luke Gale, Ryan Hampshire, Lee Jewitt, Will Maher, Mike McMeeken, Paul McShane, Grant Millington, Adam Milner, Junior Moors, Joel Monaghan, Larne Patrick, Gadwin Springer, Denny Solomona, Danny Tickle & Jake Webster.
John Bateman, Joe Bretherton, Greg Burke, Josh Charnley, Dom Crosby, Ben Flower, Oliver Gildart, Willie Isa, Dom Manfredi, Lee Mossop, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Lewis Tierney, Joel Tomkins, Sam Tomkins & George Williams.
What are people's thoughts on the game ahead? I can't see anything other than Cas marching on, especially with their team looking strong and essentially picking itself. Wigan are missing Clubb, who apart from Bateman has looked to me to be the only one in the forwards not being a wet drip so far this season so that's a blow. O'Loughlin is also out but I often find that to be the case a lot over the past few years, always seems to be carrying something.
Although Wigan looked good last week, they were playing Leeds, so I'm not sure we can take much away from their game even with putting 40 odd points on the board. Cas on the other hand were able to wrestle a 14 point deficit away from Warrington and then go on to hammer it home, which shows they've got some steel to hang in there. If Williams settles quick enough after the last two games back and Tomkins does the same then there might not be much difference in the backs but the forwards are going to be pummeled by the likes of Moors, Springer, Millington and McMeeken in my opinion.....
As a Wigan fan, I can't disagree with much of that. Sorry to be so uncontroversial! Williams showed some good signs last week and Sam seems to be settling back in well, but a couple more games under our belts would have been nice. Cas played some good footy against Wire and will be confident they can do so again.
Williams and Tomkins are always going to be threats will ball in hand I'm just not sure the rest of your team is going to play ball with them so to speak. Castleford have a togetherness recently and are willing to throw the ball about knowing their team mate will be there whereas Wigan seem to be trying to do a lot individually, especially Bateman, which is lucky because if he wasn't carrying so much of the team right now you might have lost more this season. He has been brilliant, when he was briefly linked with Wire I really didn't think he'd do much, at Bradford I thought the talk was way to high for what I'd seen him actually do but I am happy to eat my words, he's non-stop. Having said that about thinking Cas will probably win comfortably, you've won some games in the last 10 minutes simply by staying within touching distance, so who knows.
Could be the game of the weekend, this one. Was impressed with Castleford in the second half against Wire, and it would be good for them to replicate that against another good side in Wigan.
Plus, hopefully Cas can do Hull a favour and keep Wigan at least two points behind us!
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
I think Cas will win by 12 or so here to be honest. We were playing some very poor attacking rugby prior to the Leeds game, and whilst that result will boost the team's confidence, I don't think it's much of an indicator of a turn in form given how poor Leeds are at the moment. Cas is always a tough place to go, more so with five of our best players missing.
If I were a Wigan fan I'd be a bit more concerned about defence - our (Leeds) attack is misfiring badly, but we could have scored five tries against you at Magic - with McGuire's drop being the most obvious, and if Hardaker's disallowed try had gone up as a try it would have stayed as such, and similarly with JJB's held up call (he was insistant and there was no shot that conclusively proved being held up - not saying it should have been given, merely that it could) - for a team that's struggled to score tries that's a lot.

It could be, just hope Wigan can hang with Cas for a while at least. I'm genuinely excited to watch Castleford play recently, their first try against us (Wire) at Magic had me clapping, it was that deserved. Haha, well, I wasn't thinking in terms of helping Hull out here but then again if Wire can't get top back then I'd be rooting for Hull.

Need to try and catch their first try, as I've heard a few people say that. Only managed to watch the second half.
I must admit, I bet against Wire last week. Hiwever, with Sandows imminent return I can see you guys getting back to winning ways sharpish. Makes for an exciting end to the year. I imagine your fans are thinking the same, but just trying to take each game as it comes and not get too carried away!

Definitely try to, must be on that video sharing website by now. Oh yes, I can't wait for him to return, just hope he comes through unscathed. We've had a few down the past couple of weeks and lost some more last week but we've got the bulk back in the form of Evans, Atkins, Sandow etc. it'll be good to have Sandow back but I'm actually praying for Hughes to return, we've been leaking lots of points down his side since he's been injured. We're there for the taking tomorrow unless we get our attitude sorted.
