Forced to retire aged 31 due to a serious hip injury.

I'm sure most people will agree that he has been a credit to himself, his family,the clubs he's represented And the game as a whole.

I consider myself fortunate that i saw him play, and that he gave 7 years great service to my club.
As i said on our board, not the biggest, not the best, but certainly one of the bravest!

Very sad news, great bloke and having watched him from his Wigan days he allways gave 100%. Hope his media work carries on, one of the better summarises on radio Leeds. All the best Luke.

nice guy and very good in the media. lets hope sky or the beeb use him more as he's a natural. him and crabtree both excellent on TV

Always seemed a nice guy and as others have said hopefully the bbc will use him rather than big Eorl (who again seems a nice guy but just is a bit too earnest and simplistic when on tv). Robinson, Wilkin and Peacock talking about games on the Beeb would be ideal for me.

Always a shame when someone retires early. Good luck Luke.

Always a shame when a player has to retire early especially a rugby player who then has to find another way to earn money. Its different for football players who are ridiculously rich.

That is a shame. He has had a great career though that has lasted well over a decade. Ended slightly prematurely, but considering the bangs Luke has taken throughout the years he is a smart enough bloke to know the time is right to move on to other things. Best of luck to him, and can see him moving to the media side of things as others have said so he will be fine.

Gritty little nice bloke. One of those players respected throughout he game for their 100% attitude. I echo those wishing him well.

Always sad to hear about this type of thing.... A good, honest, battler...

His Mrs is bang on too... Hope this doesn't stop her and all her mates partying at Magic Weekends - everyone loves the fun time girls!!!

Always liked Luke Robinson.

Back in (I think it was 2004) we were in Cardiff to watch the Saints Wigan Cup Final, and after the game we were having a pint outside one of the pubs whilst my 8 year old was playing a game of rugby against his mate with a plastic glass as a ball. Robinson and Harrison Hansen came walking down the street, taking in the atmosphere I guess, and took the lads on in a two on two match. My lad, as a Wire, couldn't care less, but it made his mates (a huge wigan fan) day.
