No Ellis?
Your home-grown bias is a tad strong.

As good as Ellis was he was only at Leeds for 4 years compared to Ablett and JJB who've been playing for 10 or 11. It's why I chose Diskin at 9 instead of Buderus and didn't include Cuthbertson.
If anything my choice of Briscoe over someone like Bai or Calderwood was probably the harder choice.
And there's only 9 out of the 17 I chose who are homegrown.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround." An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Mark Tookey, who had had a solid career in the NRL before he came to England, was a much loved cult figure among the fans at London. He was highly respected by the other players as well.
Mark was given a lot more game time in London, and scored a lot more tries (6) -- not bad for a prop -- than he had scored at the then faltering Castleford club (1).
