I think he looked decent enough last year, and at that point most Warriors fans I read were happy enough with him. Not a world beater but looked pretty good. This year he's obviously been plagued by injury and has struggled for consistency when he has actually been fit to play. I thought when it was announced he was going to the NRL that the Warriors was the wrong team and I still think that. Under someone like Robinson or Hasler or Bennett I really think he has enough talent to make a success of things over there. In contrast, the Warriors have changed coach 3 times since Tomkins signed for them. In his first year he scored 13 tries, made 13 assists and was averaging something like 4 tackle busts and 100m a game. Yeah this second year he's struggled but I still wouldn't say he's been a failure while he was over there.
