I think you're right to a certain extent regarding overseas players, but unlike the Premier League, they still have plenty in the locker.

Anyone writing Australia off knows very little about this game.

One of their biggest strengths is their ability to learn and do so quickly.

RL in this country is the opposite.

Are you talking about the influx of overseas players like the Englishmen James Graham, George Burgess, Luke Burgess, Thomas Burgess, Samuel Burgess, Michael Cooper, Gareth Widdop, Samuel Tomkins, and Joshua Hodgson?

Or are you referring to the Melanesians from Fiji like Akuile Uate, Semi Radradra, Marika Koroibete, Sisa Waqa, Eto Nabuli and Apisai Korisau?

Or are you referring to the thousands of Polynesians, many from Samoa and Tonga, coming directly or via New Zealand?

Or are you referring to the hundreds of New Zealand nationals who come to Australia to play professional rugby league?

This was a game too far for a fair number of that Roo's squad. They'll rebuild by 2017.
If the Kiwis bring that squad to England I can't see past a 3/0 whitewash.....they are only going to get better.

I looked at the Aussie squad this morning and wondered why is any of the City - Country players aren't playing in this game . There's a few who should have been given a run out against the Kiwi's .

This was the strongest squad Australia could have picked, apart from the injured Flying Morris Brothers.

Probably the biggest issue for the series will be how many Kiwis are 'unavailable'.

England seem beaten psychologically before they play Australia, far less so than NZ (and nAus seem to assume they will win vs England too).

England will find it very difficult to win with Matthew Smith and without Samuel Burgess.

We were within a whisker of doing so last Autumn in NZ's back yard with said scenario so we should be very much in contention on home soil, like we normally are against the Kiwis.

Matty Smith (and the Wigan back-line in general) is going fine lately after a poor start to the season. There will be plenty enough Burgesses in the team. England always seem to revel in playing the Kiwis and this series should be a corker.
