Roby starting at 13 is a bad idea in my opinion. Moving him to 13 and bringing burrow on at 9 later in the game would work well though in my opinion. We need to change tactics against the australia so a 2 hooker system could work to our advantage.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I know Roby used to come on at 13 occasionally so both he and Cunningham could be on the pitch at the same time but I really don't know what that would acheive now. His speciality is running from dummy half on the back of a quick play the ball, you wouldn't get that from him if he was playing at 13, plus you'd have to sacrifice a specialist loose to accomodate him! Terrible idea IMO.

You don't get a QPTB against the aussies. Roby to 13 with a 'clever' hooker might be a good shout in terms of tactics.

Obviously I'm biased but Briscoe has proven that he can do alot more than just scored tries and some brilliant ones at that. Charnley although he's a very good winger and one of the best English wingers around is fortunate to be playing for easily the best team in the comp were alot of his tries are handed to him. Which he mentioned himself on the Super League show the other night. Can't recall seeing him break a tackle and go the full length of the pitch or anything of note.
Like I said I'm obviously going to be bias but for me Hall and Briscoe are the two best wingers for England at the minute, followed by Charnley.

Where has this theory come from that wingers have to go the full length to be good?

A good winger imo is one that can defend his corner well when asked too and is in the position to score tries should the ball come to him. Yes some of Josh's tries have been 'put on a plate' but a lot of them have taken some scoring, be it outpacing his opposite number, grounding the ball from a kick or squeezing his way over ala Ryan Hall. They haven't been Ade Gardner-esque 'catch and put down' tries.

I'd have Brough over LomaX, and Ellis in the back row somewhere.

I would love that every 4/5 years the same as union do, I would add the rider that players would only be chosen from players who qualify by playing for the home nations, that would allow for players who opt for Scotland Ireland & Wales instead of England getting the lions share, I would also consider the French players to be included.

So many things wrong with this post I don't know where to begin!

Re: Great Britain and England : Fri Jul 13, 2012 10:00 am
Can someone give me an actual decent reason why we should dump the home nations for GB? The name and kit don't seem to counter the obvious benefits that playing as the home nations has, and "tradition" can easily be countered with the fact we were England well before we were GB in this sport.

A GB tour would be nice, but only for nostalgic reasons, not for any actual benefits.

Hi Andy

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Lomax will have to improve considerably to start in the halves for England in the WC.
