I actually think Charnley and Briscoe are. Never really got the attraction with Hall. Good athelete and scored two good tries against Aus last year but he's nothing special for me. Too much emphasis is put on who scores the most tries when discussing the best wingers but wingers who score alot tend to get alot of walk ins because they are in the best teams. Hall is a perfect example of this and I don't often see Hall score a try that Briscoe couldn't have scored. However I see Briscoe do something every week and think, "theres not many who could do what he just did there." Take the Leeds game on Friday, quiet game by him (and all the wingers really) but could Hall have slid behind his line to clean up that kick before making 20 metres? Not a chance.
I don't think you've actually watched much of Ryan Hall have you? He's a much better defender than Briscoe, he frequently picks up the ball behind his line and makes good metres against the odds, he's capable of some magic jinking runs, scored plenty of long range tries and, whilst he's no Vainakolo, he barges defenders out of the way to score tries that Briscoe simply wouldn't have a hope of managing.
Nothing against Briscoe, I like him, but if you don't think Hall has much about him then you're either blinkered or bonkers.

Obviously I don't see as much of Hall as you do and I'm not saying I don't like Hall because I would be more than happy if Hull signed him. When I say he doesn't have much about him I mean relative to other international wingers.
Anyway, in defence is he that much better? Are you basing it on their one on one tackling? Positional sense? Ability to defuse kicks? I don't think there is alot to split them tbh. Magic jinking runs? Well I've never seen one but I'll take your word for it. He does score long range tries because as I have said he is a good athelete but how often does he have to beat defenders to score these and how often is it good work by his team mates to give him a clear run? He is more likely to blast players out the way than Briscoe because he has a bigger frame but Briscoe has a better fend.
Obviously I'm biased but Briscoe has proven that he can do alot more than just scored tries and some brilliant ones at that. Charnley although he's a very good winger and one of the best English wingers around is fortunate to be playing for easily the best team in the comp were alot of his tries are handed to him. Which he mentioned himself on the Super League show the other night. Can't recall seeing him break a tackle and go the full length of the pitch or anything of note. Like I said I'm obviously going to be bias but for me Hall and Briscoe are the two best wingers for England at the minute, followed by Charnley.
90% agree with you, but I think when fully fit Jermaine McGilvary is right up there with the top two. His kicking on the wing is immense! Charnley would be fourth choice for me.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

Best attacking winger this year has been Broughton. He would score more on the wing for Wigan than Charnley IMO.
France should never be put together with Great Britain. First of all it makes no sense whatsoever and secondly, where do you stop? Italy, Serbia, Lebanon?
The Four Nations should be Australia, New Zealand, France and Great Britain in the northern hemisphere. If you're going to have the tournament in the southern hemisphere (which I wouldn't) then include the top ranked SH side after the Kangaroos and Kiwis. At present that would be Papua New Guinea, leaving Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands to play in the Pacific Cup.
World Cups should see the home nations rather than GB participate. If players know they can play for GB in the Four Nations without ruling themselves out of representing their nation in the big one, I believe we are far less likely to see the embarrassing flip-flopping between countries we currently have.
A GB tour every four years, along the lines of some earlier posts, would prove popular and would again dissuade players from putting their hands up for a nation for all the wrong reasons.

Briscoe Hall Charnley Broughton McGilvary
Are the best of British, Riley scores alot, but who wouldn't on the wing for Wire. He's fast and can finish chances off but that's it. He's not amongst the best of British.
cant believe people are leaving crabtree out of their squads in both exiles game he was our best prop for me, personally i woiuld pick hall every time over briscoe and cudjoe over atkins, yet again atkins defence in internationals is poor at best.
