What I like most about this is that O'Loughlin didn't spit his dummy out or complain about having the captaincy taken off him last year and given to the 'leadership team' - he just got on with his game and played his best for his team

Now... he is given the captaincy back and rightly so

If we're discussing new captains, Craig Fitzgibbon is the new captain of Hull FC.

To be fair, I was actually commenting on how refreshing it is to see a sportsman accept the decision to take the captaincy off him in such good grace and get on with playing for the club he obviously loves

Not particularly a Wigan topic as such

And neither would any Lancastrian.

Clearly a thread about how a Wigan player has been elected as the captain of Wigan is a Wigan post and really is of no interest to anyone other than a Wigan supporter.

Sadly for Wigan as soon as Maguire gets an offer from an NRL club he will be on the plane home before you can say 'meat and potato pie'

As far as gauging the potential in the South West, I'd have thought the rumoured Wembley international double-header at the end of the season would be good way to do this.

We had 6 captains last year, chosen 48 hours before each game. For example, Tommy was our captain for the Leeds match. Lockers was chosen for the Grand Final, is all.
