NEG: The 8's are a farce which not only stacks the deck in favour of SL teams but offers a very slim chance of promotion.

POS: The CH has been extremely entertaining this year and possibly the most exciting its ever been

I like this game

Agree with the positive - best Championship season for many a year.

Disagree with the farce comment though. At worst for the Championship teams, there'll be a one-off game between the lowest placed SL team and the highest placed Championship team. On main season form (just as an example), that would be Wakefield vs Leigh... and Leigh have already shown they can beat Wakefield (and Salford).

As a negative, the 3rd 8's are a bit of a dead duck, and I'm sure that Fev, London and Dewsbury aren't massively motivated to give it their all. Doncaster are already relegated, but still plenty of interest for the other 4 teams if Hunslet can get their act together. Oh, and although Cats, Hull and Warrington can breathe easy for SL next year, they all need a serious turn in form (reverse order) to get in the top 4 for the playoffs.

I personally don't think it is, it won't be easy for the CG teams to go up but least they can gauge where they are against SL teams just mentioning the comments I've read on here about it previously.

And you didn't post a positive for me to bag ;-)

Neg 1: only becasue Bradford and Leigh are making it so ;-)
Neg 2 : For RL to grow internationally it needs to expand beyond the heartlands

Pos : RL seems to be moving with the times on the face of investment some team are generating

+ve: more English players are making a real impact in the NRL, which can only be good for our national team.

-ve #1: The Superleague is being denuded of its best talent by the Aussies; we will end up a second string comp.

-ve #2: If English players are doing well in the NRL, it shows that the NRL too is at a low ebb compared to days of the past.
