It would be good to name the fixtures around 4 weeks before the event actually started. Although we knew how the system works and I am looking forward to Saturday so much, its just another guarenteed 2 points for Warrington.

Is it reasonable that Wire get to bag a guaranteed extra 2 points off Widnes, just to prop up the increasingly clunky derby format?

I'd agree that if SL points are at stake, it should be 1v2, 3v4 etc etc.

I've always said teams should be drawn out of a hat. If they could make it so the teams get split into a Saturday and Sunday group by a preliminary draw, could you imagine the interest in a lottery the morning of Magic? It would be real WWE-like stuff. Even if that's unlikely, they could always draw it like the CC.

Otherwise, I think they should draw the games from rivalries, but not the traditional rivalry of the neighbours.
