In speaking to the media after the presentations had been done he said that he had left Toronto following differences in opinion over the way forward with the development of the club and player pool between himself and those at Toronto. He also said that the Ottawa club if approved would look to develop a local player pool to feed local players into the team even should that mean that promotion took longer to achieve, rather than seeking to bring in a squad totally from elsewhere to reach the top tier asap as has been done in Toronto. I read it more as throwing the money at the project in a different direction. It's good to see they're looking to focus on building a player pool. My concern is how this may affect initial supporter interest (which could then potentially affect invester interest). We shall see, but in Perez I trust.
