Another big win likely at this one. I'm not bothering with this one myself since Hemel isn't exactly blessed with a lot going for it unless you're into roundabouts.

From what I've seen of their facilities they're in stark contrast to what we enjoyed at Newcastle.

Hopefully we'll make up the points difference over York and avoid any injuries.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!

Hopefully should put a score on them. Having to travel down shouldn't be an issue as the Hemel players have to do the same with their players being Northern based.

Really thought Hemel would have been on of the expansion clubs to have been a success as they had a decent base. Interesting tweet from one of the York players saying one of the Hemel players (presumably his mate) was shouting jokes to him when taking conversions. Think it shows the professionalism of the outfit.

Lol.
I guess once the score goes over 50 you have to take what opportunities you can get to gain some advantage - even if it means trying to put off your mate with his goalkicks!

Yip... the google maps image would suggest that the facilities in Hemel are "minimal". Not surprising for a club with attendance figures usually between 100-200 folk.

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Hemel+Stags+Rugby+Club/@51.7677863,-0.4551928,116a,35y,75.82h,45.01t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x487646b57a32942b:0xe24ad6c155f397a8!8m2!3d51.7684527!4d-0.45279

That said, they look like they are expecting a good crowd and have plenty of stuff going on (Live Band, Real Ale Festival, Street Food Stalls etc). Usually I'd jump to visit somewhere like this, but trying to save some pennies so will have to give it a miss.

I'd be surprised if anyone but the young uns with loads of disposable income go to this game if I'm honest. A long trip with the inevitability of a one-sided game, in a season full of reasonably long trips to crap grounds with crap teams. It certainly isn't going to appeal to the masses.

Suspect 95% of the Bulls support will be the younger end that can't handle their beer but can afford it because mum and dad are paying the bills. Those watching their pennies are going to give this a wide berth.

To be fair.
Coach down (via the Bulls) is £13 and ADULT ground entry is a meagre £9 so you're not saving that much by giving this one a miss. I do hope (given my weak bladder and the beer festival) that they've got better toilet facilities than seem obvious on Google Earth. Not too much to support both the lads and RL in newer areas.

I didn't know that and had just assumed it would be something like £30 or more for coach travel. I personally won't go near the coaches as far too many experiences of idiots making me want to throw them or myself through the window, but £13 is very good value for that distance.

The cheap entry doesn't surprise me so much, but you do wonder how these clubs even survive on crowds of 200 with those kind of gate prices.

Well, if the reports of beer festival are correct, I'd guess/assume/hope! that some extra, portable facilities, might be provided, though to quote one my own favourite sayings, 'Blessed is he who doth not expect, for he shall not be disappointed'.
