I doubt that Henry has any better cv than Jimmy, now if was ex A B's coach Graham Henry that would indeed be jaw dropping and he is a very experienced Coach!
If they are serious then I expect one of the fringe NRL coaches who are between jobs at present, but we have to wait and see and let the rumours do the rounds!

After so much uncertainty it would be nice to know where we are at..

But wait and see, it would be nice to enjoy watching the team play instead of been disappointed.

Don't forget the fev game the worst I've ever seen that cost us £500k.

I was chatting to the misses about this last night. I made the point that if two parties working together don't have a vision that's aligned with one another, then there is no possible working relationship. Without a good relationship between the coach and the board, the club can't progress. So the statement seems to me like this was the case. I'm sad to see Rohan go - seemed like a sound bloke to me - but if he can't make music with Lowe and Chalmers, then there's no point keeping him on. Best of luck to Rohan - someone said on this thread earlier that he will probably pop up somewhere in the future; I have no doubt that is the case.

Henry Paul was arguably the best player in SL but he seems to lack the humility & good grace of his brother. Not for me.

Henry Paul has more first team coaching experience than Rohan Smith did coming into this job? Plus he also may have contacts from all over (League, Union, NZ, Russia, etc) So who knows. Will be on a lot less than Rohan too. So even if we are all a bit vexed at Rohan being let go it may have been done for the benefit of the club moving forward. Let's give Henry (should he get the job) a chance.

HP could have the contacts of Wayne Bennett but it doesn't mean he can coach them. One of the things a number of posters commented on, & I witnessed at a quiz night, was the calibre of young athletes Smith was bringing to the club & their mature, humble attitude. You won't get that from a playboy.
