Re: Administration 3 - now in technicolour : Sat Dec 03, 2016 6:24 pm
I was just confused by the suggestion by Frank's source that it is all sorted with one particular ownership group when Richard Lamb is still tweeting that he has until Weds to put his final bid in.

For what it's worth I really like the sound of all the info Frank has got from his source and think a consortium/group of like minded rugby brains sharing the financial burden would be better than one person.

I hope it is all pretty much signed and sealed as alluded to and we can start to move forward this week.

One thing we do know is that, for good or bad, the size of the bid isn't the defining factor, particularly with the RFL being involved.

The RFL have to give permission [under the fit and proper person rule] for the 'winners' to
renew the club's membership and they are supposedly looking for long term commitment, sustainability and past financial history, rather than just how much in the way of readies they can throw at it. Experience also teaches us that they don't always get it right..

Good post.. :thumb: The future looks brighter already, regardless of who is on board.Just glad for the game your still in business.. Go Bulls..

Well, who knows?

Maybe Frank does know - I'm sure there must be the odd one or two who have been 'tipped the wink' from someone inside the club. If the insider has got it right, of course, as sometimes things change at the last minute, which tends to leave people with eggy faces. To be right though, virtually all we've been told could be about any of the runners and riders still left in the race as described in the T&A, so we've really been told nowt yet.

My bet is still on the Lord Lucan and Elvis partnership, though I understand they still have to get a buyer for Shergar to get the money.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

I'm afraid that I don,t believe a word that comes from Lamb. If was midnight and he told me it was dark outside I would have to check.

Just read the update from the administrator. Firstly I hope you are sorted soon. Secondly 68 non playing personnel on the payroll of a championship club!! 133 employees in total!! No wonder you are in financial trouble, that would be bigger than most SL clubs and should be easily culled by the new owners

Frank's always been right in the past. Not just Smith, but on a number of 'rumours'.

As far as rugby is concerned, I will now sleep soundly until I hear otherwise.

Those figures could include lottery agents etc. who should effectively pay for themselves. I'm only guessing like everybody else so I'll reserve judgement until I know details.

Best news so far is that the new owners won't be rushing out to buy Sam Tomkins.

I think we should all be happy that we appear to have a future and a good one at that.
I can't understand some of the sneering attitudes by some posters against other posters who might suggest they have some information as to who our new owners may be.
Surely the point of a forum is to discuss and have banter with fellow bulls fans?
We should be running a book on the issue instead of treating it as an issue which might construe a breach of confidence.
