I don't think Iafeta Palea'aesina fits the Rohan mould somehow. If we're going for lazy 'impact' players who are blowing after 10 minutes we might as well have kept Lauaki.

Well we're certainly light in terms of forwards for next year so 5 or 6 signings would be welcome as we are going to need a new 2nd row, LF and at least a couple of props

I think I saw a tweet from Mick Gledhill that said there is supposedly one more player from London coming our way and a later tweet listed Slyney and Harrison as two that are out of contract.

I also saw Jordan Cox of Warrington mentioned by someone on either twitter or one of the facebook groups.

It pleases me greatly to see Smith saying agents/teams are ringing him up offering him backs and he is saying no because he doesn't want to just stock pile players. Looks like he has a vastly different approach to our former coach.

It sounds (from the T&A) that the door isn't closed for Tom Olbison

If we can't get anyone markedly better than Olbison - and we possibly cannot - then he would be a good option for a back row slot.

Well Smith's signings so far for Bradford have been very good so I'm optimistic about whoever is coming in to Odsal

Where are we short?

By my reckoning we have the following,

FB - Moss, Thomas, Pickersgill
WG - Caro, Ryan, Rickett, Campbell, Macani
CE - Welham, Clare, Foster, Oakes, Mendieka
SO - Keyes
SH - Chilsholm
PR - Sidlow, Clark, Kavanagh, Magrin, Kirk
HK - O'Brien, Lumb, Halafihi,
SR - Mellor, Haggerty, Wilkinson
LF - Bentley

That makes 28 contracted for next season, however it's woefully unbalanced and some of the players I would prefer not to be here next season, or are rumoured not to be, like Mitch Clark.

The following I hope can find other clubs because I don't see much of a future at the Bulls for them.

Thomas, Campbell, Mendieka, Halafihi. + Clark probably leaving, would bring us 23 players with

2 x FB
4 x WG
4 x CE
1 x SO
1 x SH
4 x PR
2 x HK
3 x SR
1 x LF

I would say we are short of 2 SR, 1 LF, 1 PR, 1 SO, 1 SH.

Evans - PR, Cox - PR
Philbin - SR

I think that would be a nice squad with a couple more additions. 2 more backrower, and a scrum half.
