I have had to ring the ticket line a few times this month from. My mobile and just checked my phone bill and it's added up to £12.43.

Does anyone have a normal phone number???

"An 0844 number is a Fixed Rate non geographic number. This means that the caller always pays the fixed call price of up to 5p per minute when calling this number from anywhere in the UK"

max 5p / min means £12.43 = roughly 250 mins, or over 4 hours.

Were you doing some serious chatting up, or is your provider ripping you off blind?

0844 numbers are blocked at my workplace because they're classed as premium rate. Have to use my mobile to ring the club, which is quite annoying.

Usually they forward to a local number, but the club will want to hide that number as it won't make them as much money.
