Breaking news on Bulls Facebook page, Harry Siejka is to leave the club with immediate effect after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract

Well, nobody saw THAT one coming. Maybe the best thing for him is a fresh start somewhere else. So ... who's available? Can Sam Burgess play 7?

Hmmm, so Wakefield release Godinet, Pita's wife changes her location on twitter from Wakefield to Bradford, and then we announce that our scrum half is leaving.

Coincidence? Godinet would certainly be an improvement.

Well Ross has just tweeted that he doesn't think we will sign a replacement before the start of the season.

So we'd go into next season without a single recognised scrum half on our books.

Better than last year when we went into the season with a player who you couldn't recognise as a half back

More bizarre is Ross is saying likeliest lineup is Gaskell and Purcell in halves. Surely mullaney and addy would be ahead of Purtell?

Got to say that he was starting to win me over with his last couple of performances (Leigh and Wakefield in particular).

Seemed happy to get stuck in and put his body on line which I always like to see in a half back but perhaps didn't have the quality to steer the team around the park as we needed.

He was always on a hiding to nothing when he had to directly replace GOB when he was "let off" of his contractual responsibilities to the club... one of those other great decisions made by Le General!!!

FWIW I'm not that impressed with the thought of Godinet either. We need someone to lead, not pull something out of his sleeve!!!

I reckon Jimmy is going To try and turn Addy into a half. Although Ross thinks it could be a HB pairing of Gaskell/Purtell!!!!!!

For me Siejka isn't a loss. But it's frightening and barmy we don't have a half. I would be more than comfortable with a HB pairing of Gaskell/Mullaney. But I reckon Jimmy will try turn Addy into a 7 which will end in tears sadly.

If we have no replacement he needs to select a 7 from Thomas or Mullaney and absolutely stick to it. Not swap and change them to FB.

If only we had a young HB on our books. Oh no wait we let him go to Keighley...
