No I don't. You said that England beat the World Champions. They didn't.
But then, claiming that England managed to beat a side that got completely mullered in the final of the WC does not seem quite so good now does it?
I don't really care for rankings TBH. If we were to believe them then we would actually believe that Wales were the 8th best football team on the planet. Which they are clearly not.

You do when it suits you, and you don't when it doesn't.

FA is trying to get a reaction here and it is not going to work.
I am not interested at all in "getting reactions. I say what I think. Comment - don't comment. I don't care. Although it is a "discussion" forum.
mystic eddie wrote:
..FFS this is someone who is trying to tell us that his 2-1 win (at home) vs NZ is a proof of his ability to coach,
I'm not "trying to tell you" this. It is a fact which clearly proves itself. You don't win a Test series against the No.1 ranked nation by accident. And it is not a one-off, the gradual improvement of the national team under McNamara has been plain to see. If you are inclined to look.
mystic eddie wrote:
..I think most people on here would look at the long term effect rather than a 3 game series which ultimately counts for very little.
Heheh! We'd have seen for how much it counted in your head if we had lost 3-nil! McNamara has been in the job for some time, of course, and we are indeed now looking at the current state of progress of the long term effect of his time in charge. That's what annoys you, you need to belittle and rubbish everything he did, does, or ever will, but as time wears on, he keeps peeing on your bonfire.
A Test series win against the World No. 1 ranked team
is a big deal . You must be seething inside that your dismal attempts to spin it differently are pointless and embarrassing. Credit to you for persistence, but there is a time to stop digging.

Nice selective quoting there FA.
TBF, as much as you will argue, it really is not a big deal that you won a test series. Only three nations actually play the game to any level FFS!
And it was at home.
I will say it again. To try and convince the Bradford Bulls supporters that McNamara is a quality coach is patronising and smacks of arrogance.

McNamara - first man for many years to coach us to a Test series win. Well done Mac. He will still have his knockers, but how bitter a pill for them, as they have to swallow it, like it or not
So he scraped one win and you're almost calling him the messiah.
He knows how crap he really is. Most people know that, even level head Bulls fans.

As I was saying, haters gonna hate. Fact and logic don't connect with them.

Anthropologists and psychologists have found cult members use the term 'haters' to protect themselves from feeling humiliated by their own behaviour. It seeks to portray those trying to free them from their their slavish devotion to the irrational, as motivated by spite rather than logic.
