I think the missing players argument works both ways however as we only had 1 out and out prop from the start in walker, and were missing green, allgood, Maurice Blair and darrell Goulding who would all be in the 17.
Regardless, I thought you guys looked really good. Quick ptb's and went with width early on. Adam o'brien looks a player, and sidlow did well. Just a little bit of quality from us made the difference. You kept campese very quiet which most teams struggled to do. I enjoyed the game, and you guys should look forward to a pretty successful season

The result shows you were better. Maybe a bit more composure than us at important points. The margin doesn't really matter in the cup but the last 15 mind were not expected. It's what we've being doing to teams all season.

Wouldn't be too hard on your team mate, I hope sky cover our fixture with hull fc that's originally scheduled for the 19th July as I would love to come back to odsal to watch you and Leigh, we could be playing you shortly after that.

Delighted with performance if not result. Don't think we've anytthing to fear in middle eights. Walker should have seen red and that would have changed game. Thought ball steal on addy was pretty clearcut and ref got it wrong. Also blatant forward pass for one of their tries. Score line flattered rovers massively in end.

Ball steal was 1 on 1. Flat of the hand by walker. Every pass was forward going by the nutters near us. Ref did not have a good game. But never affected the result.

I was surprised by the pace of the game, it was no faster then the games we play week in week out, so that's quite promising for the Middle 8s. Not too gutted to have lost that one, we were not going to ever win the cup, but enjoyed the game.

There have to be question marks over at least two of the KR tries, and in the end the score flattered them, but a good experience for the team, and with a fully fit team, who knows....

I thought we did reasonably OK. The line up surprised me as the backline and the bench looked a real hotch potch, but having said that Walker played well in the centre. What happened to Ulugia who is starting to look handy.

I've been pretty ambivalent but I thought we missed Harry Siejka who defends well and gives a bit of structure as well as pulling Addy away from the base of the scrum.

On the negative side, Henry was poor in the centre and worse on the wing. Our last tackle kick option is very poor.

Ref: A closed fist punch to the face of a marker is a red card.
The pass for Mantellato's try was in front of me and looked flat.
The ball steal looked 2 on 1 and took forever.

Overall 55-45 disappointed, although Lowes didn't sound too bothered. HKR will be in the middle 8s in my view.

Well, the expected defeat, but I hadn't expected to come away feeling so frustrated. First, the ref is not fit to referee, as no first class official could possibly see a prop punching a little hooker out, in cold blood, at a PTB, as anything other than a red card. The cowardly fckr should be banned 2 games for that but won't be as it was "dealt with". Who knows what difference a man advantage, and a prop to the good, might have made?

Also, we have player laid out and not moving, yet the yellow cretin was the only man in the ground who failed to agree the game should be stopped. He was 30 yards away and had no way of knowing if it was a bad head injury yet shamefully he played on. Utter pillokk.

Second, all season we have been like rabbits in the headlights under the high ball. Maybe it was a bit blustery, though surely not that bad, but we regularly just stand back and let the ball bounce, are we mad? Go for the fkn thing! If ya drop it, ya drop it, but this leaving it to bounce is suicidal - and so it proved.

Overall on the play, the Bulls looked if anything the better team, and in amongst, played some lovely stuff, and got some good tries. KR, in contrast, fed off our mistakes, git regularly lucky and took their chances, but while much of our play was at least as god as theirs, they were more professional and less prone to shooting themselves in the foot. Letting the kickoff go dead, just after scoring, is a great way to switch momentum. They scored. There is no excuse. They scored. Henry's ludicrous forward bat, on his own 40. They scored.

I went away frustrated, but unexpectedly heartened too. KR know they dodged a bullet, but I am glad we are out of the Cup, and whatever significance you attach to the game, it showed that we can put 30 deserved points past a top-8 SL side. And our aggression, and go forward was excellent. But Jimmy does need to do something about the pantomime defending, sure some was unlucky, and sure some (like the forward pass) was ludicrous, but you just can't ship 50 points at home.
