Tag Rugby League Returns to Bradford : Thu Apr 16, 2015 11:32 am  

Some of you may remember the successful Bull Tag competition which ran at Odsal in the early part of this Century, well Tag Rugby League is returning to Bradford with a Tuesday league kicking off at Bradford and Bingley RFC from April 28th. The RFL's Tag Rugby League partner Try Tag Rugby are running the league, alongside four other leagues in West Yorkshire (such as nearby Morley which is hosting a Saturday league), launching from the end of the month. Leagues are open for registration at mixed, men's and ladies levels, and venues are currently holding free taster sessions such as Bradford & Bingley on 21/04 and Morley on 25/04. In just 5 years of existence, London based Try Tag Rugby have grown to a point where 250 teams competed weekly in London and the Thames Valley last summer. I can recommend this since I play tag twice a week in summer already. Great for getting a bit of fitness, more fun than aimless jogging or lifting things up and putting them down again in a gym.

You can also pretend you're Greg Inglis with other like minded people of similar (lacking) ability.

I played several times against Jeff Grayshon. Tag rugby is more painful.
Though the sight of Sam flying down the wing in his Bulls mankini more than compensates.

Morley on a Monday and Apperley Bridge (in summer only) on a Wednesday.
