Sensible not to risk mulaney or purtell if they aren't 100%. Not sure I'd say hkr are strongest pack we've faced this year tbh. Think ours should match it though would have preferred Samir over Fleming/lauaki.

8. Clough
9. O Brien

14. Ferguson

16. Fleming
17. Walshaw

Mellor and Ulugia to miss out for me.

Disappointing to see no Mullaney or Samir. Think these two have been stand out performers when they have played. Not entirely sure why Lowes keeps persevering with Ulugia though. The guy seems way out of his depth and prone to unforced errors.

We are going to need some strong performances in the middle of the park so I'm hoping that the forwards picked are ready to put in a stint against what will be the strongest pack we've played all year.

I'd pretty much agree with your line up there but I'd probably have Mellor in the second row with Olbison at loose forward and Walker not in the 17.

No sense in risking Mullaney if he's not fit, I just hope Gaskell is fit.

I agree we need to more than hold our own up front so as to make it hard for their backs since they've a lot of pace.

On Ulugia I actually think he's got something. He took his try versus London very well and it took some scoring. He's strong and fast, I think he sometimes can get shown up playing outside Adam Henry. He makes the odd handling error but I think he'll come good in the warmer and hopefully dryer weather.

True, I think Leigh have a better pack than the one HKR are putting out this weekend.

I'd have gone for Samir too but Lauaki needs to play to get match sharpness. On Fleming I think he's improved a bit, he did look like a poor man's Craig Kopczak at first but has got better. Is Samir injured?

Not devastated. As I've said before I'm far more bothered about the league games, and doing everything we can to try our best for the promotion push. No risks is how I'd have picked it, given the chance.

Agree we shouldn't risk anyone who we have any doubts injury wise, but i think this game will aid our promotion push more than Doncaster next week.

For me:

1. Shaw
2. Ulugia (I can potential in him, just needs a decent run in the side and to cut out the silly mistakes)
3. Uaisele
4. Henry
5. Williams
6. Gaskell
7. Addy
8. Sidlow
9. O'brien
10. Clough
11. Olbison
12. Pitts
13. Mellor

14. Ferguson
15. Flemming
16. Lauaki
17. Walshaw

There's no way Baile is being brought back into the squad and not playing. He's there as Purtell's direct replacement.

I'd go:

Shaw
Williams
Baile
Henry
Uaisele/Ulugia
Gaskell
Addy
Sidlow
AoB
Clough
Olbison
Pitts
Mellor

Ferguson
Fleming
Lauaki
Walshaw

Chev and either Ulugia or Uaisele to miss out.
I think criticism of Ulugia is harsh. I think he made one handling error against London, but other than that he ran the ball in hard, looks lively and the finish for his try was top class.

Yes about right. Uaisele in for me.

Not sure why everyone's automatically putting Pitts in 2nd row. Would have thought he'd be automatic choice for loose if addy used in halves.

Regardless of his perceived strengths & weaknesses by the fans on here & the terraces - if Chev is in the squad and is fit then he will be LF. Jimmy is confident he brings something to the team.

So do I.

Ulugia's problem has been in playing outside Henry. Adam is a strong direct runner but lacks the instinctive centre's ability to know when the pass is on and when to hold it and even how best to deliver it. Stick Ulugia outside Baile and I think we'd get a different player. Either that or try Henry on the wing to Ulugia at centre.
