Just as a thought, does Lee Gaskell do too much on the field?

I know, he is head and shoulders above in this league, but is the work he does on the field in parts a detriment to the side as a whole. I wonder if Sjieka would step up more if he was asked to take on some of the work that Gaskell does on the field? It may also help us to be less predictable to other teams if we don't have to go through Lee on every play. It might also help Lee if some of the responsibility and pressure was taken off his shoulders and he was allowed more of a free role.

Think Mullaney is a hugely important cog in our attack setup.

But do agree with some of what you say. Gaskell seems to be kickin to his winger A LOT when making a break. Just needs toncut that out a bit.

We've just got to run with Siejka. He's not played much rugby for last two years. Big plays come with confidence. Look at Gaskell,

Siejka said in the T&A this week that he's doing the job Jimmy is asking him to do, a chunk of that is to get the forwards rolling and make space for Gaskell, and he knows he can get better with more game time.

So it seems the game plan is to have Gaskell as the main playmaker and that does worry me somewhat but it'll probably stay that way until it no longer gives us wins.

The problem is Gaskell plays as an old fashioned second receiver which then ultimately leads to him been involved in every play. In most teams in todays age the 6 and 7 play split sides 1 on the right other on the left. When we have Harry Seacombe IMO we don't have a good enough player to play splits halves.

We loan out our back up scrum half and Sjieka get's himself injured. Think we might have to go for a loan of our own. Is Gareth O'Brien injured at the moment as he doesn't seem to be getting in the team for wire.

I assume we got him to sign, 'a piece of paper', giving us first refusal if Wire finally decided they didn't want to keep him?
