Especially when that big name player is signed just to p**s off Hetherington over at Leeds and then it all back fires and helps bring the club to its knees.
Oh what times they were. It is boring now just playing rugby and paying the bills on time!

It just always seems strange to me how fans from club A think they know the financial goings on at club B.

it isn't unreasonable for fans from club A to wonder how club b can afford hock and moi moi and then to plausibly suggest how the finances might be structured.

On the face of it I struggle to see how it stacks up.

He's probably on a back loaded contract. I'd imagine that's how we've managed to get many of our guys who are on 2 and 3 year deals.
The idea being that the player is motivated to get the club promoted in order to reap the benefits of an improved 2nd year deal.

Leigh also have worthington who was on a decent wage at Fev (full time) and I dont suppose Barlow 5 year contract, ridyard and brierly will be on peanuts either.

Maybe the rest are on next to nowt

Obviously dont know exact figures but put it this way,

Feisal Nahaboo almost ruined our club giving certain players ridiculous contracts that we could not afford.

Greg was still under contract with us and full time as he was on the community team, but his wage among others was killing the club.

we offered him to Leigh for free to get him off the wage bill. Greg has spoken to fans including myself and said he didn't want to leave but the offer of full time training and wage RISE was too good to turn down.

I very much doubt he took a pay cut to join Leigh.

maybe officals at fev and greg are lying and really hes on 35 quid a week
