TBH, the game was an absolute bag of crap, as is the concept. The Exiles don't have anything to play for, it's not even a competition, no rivalry and you can tell the Exiles didn't give two hoots, it's just a chance for them all get together and have a throw about. Reminds me of a pre season friendly or high school try outs. TBH, The England players dont really have anything to play for either as there's no competition for a jersey and 90% of the team know they'll be playing again at the season end.
What have the supporters got too get behind either, who's going to support the Exiles other than a sprinkiling of expats up and down the country.
War of the Roses would be miles better. A meaningful rivalry that players should relish and supporters would get behind and a competition that would give players a chance to get one up on their opposite number and stake a claim for that national shirt.
