I think they won the following three games after Brown's departure was announced didn't they?

And it's not like this is the first time they have slumped down the table under Brown. It happened last year too. And the year before.

Exactly. I cant understand why with the players Huddersfield have why they cant maintain form all the way through the season. Its baffling!

Your slump has coincided with the announcement that Brown is joining Saints.

It hasn't, but when they start losing it's a 'handy excuse' to give isn't it?

I personally think that they aren't as good as their early season form suggests and over-achieve...then as teams get into their rhythm they get brought back down to where they should be and they look to any potential external factors and pin the blame on that.

Watched the tries on SL fulltime this morning. Alot straight down the middle of the field 2 or 3 from marker. That is just attitude or lack of from the players.
Ppl jumping on the bandwagon re Brown but its perhaps forgotten the current assistant coach who will have an input, Paul Anderson is the new head honcho next year. Doesnt bode well.

Each season he's been here we've had a mid season slump so I'd be very surprised if you don't have one next season. Everyone at the Giants knew he was leaving this season and that was sorted a long time ago way before you announced him as coach for next season. The problem we've had recently is that he chops and changes the team week in week out playing players out of position then apologising for another poor performance saying it won't happen again then low and behold saying the same thing again the week after.
I for one will be glad to see the back of Brown and the circus that follows him of will he or won't he rumours surfacing ever April/May time about him going back to Australia!!!! Good luck with him you might need it.

The fact that Brown has been powerless to either stop the slump from occurring in the first place, particularly after realizing that it was becoming an annual event. Or once in the mire, pull Huddersfield out of it, must raise questions about his ability as a coach.

It does appear as an outsider that he makes the same mistakes time and time again which is bad enough. But the fact that he hasn't learn his lesson and changed tack, again raises question marks over his ability.

Certainly Huddersfield haven't progressed on the field like they should have done. They've stagnated suffering from the same problems season in season out.

I liked Brown a couple of season's ago, so much so I'd have had him at Wigan but not any longer. These past few months have really knocked a lot of value off the stock that is Nathan Brown.

They have. The Saints job is now a real sink or swim for him. If he can't make it work here then I'm afraid there won't be many people wanting to take a punt on him in the future and there certainly wont be any NRL clubs lining him up.

I hope it works out for him at Saints and in the long run gets his dream move back to Australia as a head coach. He's done well in patches for the Giants but at the moment looks a lost soul with no idea of what to do to get us out of this slump we are in.

dont think he can motivate the players anymore..

1 win in 8 games...that should mean the sack

lots of differant reasons from giants fans, we all have opinions why its gone wrong...one big one is playing players out of position

for me, teams figure out how to beat us and nathan brown doesnt have a plan B to get out of the slump, if its going wrong he cant arrest the problem and solve it!

I'm still very happy to have Brown at saints next year. He's done a great job at hudds since he took over and with a very average bunch of players.

He's worked wonders with that squad and tuenee them into a top 5 team. I admit, since he agreed to join saints they have fell apart.

It's impossible compare what's happening at hudds wiry what will happen at saints next year, saints have a much better quality of squad.

I'm certain he will bring good times to saints.
