Spoke to the power that be yesterday and he said I will be happy at 4.40 tomorrow afternoon, there we go guys expect us to be winning, what he did not say was, will we still be happy at 4.45 tomorrow.
As much as I'm not happy with the performance of the team and Furner in particular I cannot see him being sacked. In my humble opinion I think the directors now understand that simply promoting players from within and signing young players with promise in the hope they turn into quality is a thing of the past and you first need quality in the team to build a team. Unfortunately our quality has retired and we are building a team from nothing. I am sure Furner knew the problems before he came and he has been given certain assurances, no doubt one of them was job security and what are the expectations from the board going forward. I think Huddersfield game is important and if we can squeeze a win then with the injuries Wakefield have we may have a good Easter. I am hoping that he has the courage to give youth a chance as opposed to the continuing inclusion of underperforming senior players
