It was never going to be a very quick turn around, but I think this is going to be a long haul. The playing squad simply isn’t good enough, and other than Kallum and Mitch, there wasn’t really anyone missing today that would make a big difference. If we survive in the top 8 (probably need 2 wins, 3 would make it safe) then we need pretty heavy recruitment over the next 3 years to get the squad back up there. Do we have the funds and desire to do that?

This is the very reason why i stated on the sinfield thread that although good he is back its a tough time for him to take charge.a few of his old pals need to be moved on or told time is up. I still hope the plan is to bring in an experienced coach at the end of the year for Sinfield to work alongside for a few seasons.

To be fair there wasn’t many of his old pals out there today, as ive said we look unfit and slow, the only player i can think of that looked any use was Briscoe

Interesting that Sinfield said bringing lilley off was to get Walker on the field, personally I would have just straight swapped Walker for Golding who I thought was full of enthusiasm but off the pace today

Notice he selected Walters instead of Cameron Smith on the bench. Smith warmed up as 18th man so must have been fit.

This is the problem with keeping the other coaching staff. Stupid decisions still happening. The brush should have swept through those people.
