Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

We are not the only sport with this issue and are a long way from the worst.
Recreational drugs is a general problem not restricted to sport like performance enhancing.

It only appears higher in ours because you don't read about the other sports.

How many elite athletes in other sports have been banned for drugs in the last year?

Jon Jones, Saul Alverez, lots of Russians.
The truth is, there's massive amounts of corruption amongst these international sporting agencies. If every athlete was tested regularly, and correctly you'd see a hell of a lot more bans. Personally, I think completely legalising drugs in sport is preferable to the corrupt shambles we have now.

With the Russians were the bans for recreational drugs or performance enhancing? The ones I've heard of are for the latter, which is a whole different issue to Minns (and numerous others) subsidising the Latin American economy.

If we start legalising drugs in sport then we'll lose the enjoyment we get from seeing quality sportsmen and women excelling - it'll just be a case of whoever injects the most crap in their veins wins.

I don't disagree, but the situation we have now and the rules that are in place are equally inept.

There’s a team who were out on the razz together in Headingley yesterday who would struggle to put a team on the park next week if the testers decided to land on their whole squad today.
I might be wrong though, it might be that they all had some serious bowl issues coupled with hay fever.

Wouldn't quite put Minns in that category.

UK-wise, the list of current sanctions is here:

Just need to watch that documentary on netflix about the guy who wanted to dope to win a bike race. This lead to the russians getting banned. Basically, if you dont want to get caught and are willing to pay, you can dope and never get caught. Why do you think Lance Armstrong never tested positive?
