The fact that Baldwinson appears on the list of nominees for the above along with Golding, Walker & Oledzki shows the paucity of under 24 talent coming through at the club.
Lilley, last year's winner & Stevie Ward a winner previously wre not eligible.

I guess after Lilley winning it last year, despite some misgivings, we all hoped he'd kick on better this year.

Well had he not been farmed out to a 3rd division team playing 2nd division rugby again and again things may have been different !

The kid can only kick on at this level with experience.

With the best will in the world, this can't happen if he's farmed out on loan and then recalled not to play every other week.

The kid needs consistency.

I've seen worst shortlists for this award. Mike Ratu was a nominee 10 years ago.

With you on this one
Playing at Bradford did not help him at all.
He needs to be given a good run in one position .
Then we will find out if he is any good.
Otherwise let him go elsewhere and try someone else.

I can see the argument for both sides, he needs game time, consistent game time at that. Not 5mins here, 10mins at hooker, 3mins there, dropped for next two weeks etc.
There is obviously tremendous pressure on young halves in the game, but as mentioned pulling him from pillar to post does neither side any favours, I guess were lucky that he's prepared to bide his time.
