Well done to Donny, in particular for having some imagination and nerve by kicking off short and winning the challenge so often. One area of the game where SL sides are so stereotyped and risk averse.

Drilling the ball hard towards touch is another tactic never employed.

IMO the defensive issues in the second half can be put down to the fact that the entire pack, hooker aside, consisted of props, with Walters playing at centre (and still missing plenty of one on ones). You wouldn't say Lilley is defensively dominant either when playing at hooker, and we had to hide Burrow in defence as well.

Great to see Walker and Oledzki makes their debuts though. Walker has bags of natural ability - great feet and an attacking mindset. He even put a good shot on a Doncaster prop who'd made a half break. Some good signs from Oledzki - took his try well and made another barnstorming run but unfortunately lost the ball after the Doncaster players had caught up with him. I just hope he can match his attacking prowess by being mobile enough in defence, which is something I think players like Mullally struggle with.

Second half we really showed the wrong attitude in that game, far too complacent. Having too many props and less mobility was a big issue, Christ we were playing league one and not a very good one. I kind of agree with McDermott on Singleton, having him play long minutes having been out, so maybe that played a part in the tactics. Longer term that will have a benefit, and he did play well.

Is this the not very good league one side that put 28pts on the board and won the 2nd half? were a part time club coming off 2 terrible losses and with an average gate of 500 so show a bit of humility mate. COYD

If you re-read the context it's aimed more at Leeds than Donny & whether it shows humility or not it's more than a fair point Toronto put 80 pts on you.

'Christ we are playing league one and an average one' in what other way can you take that remark? I'd look at the stat we couldn't get near to scoring a point against Toronto but put 28 by you. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season

Meh, the lineup we had in that final 30 mins we won't come close to seeing again with so many props on, with a bench consisting of a HB and centre who were never really going to return and we were 40 points up. We put the cue on the rack sinple as and were already looking ahead to Hudds which is more important to win than keeping the foot on the gas against Doncaster and trying to beat them 80-4.
