5,934 of which only about 250 Giants fans bothered to support their Super League Club.

Also in Round 5, Salford (H) attracted just 1,759 while in Super 8's Round 5 Wakefield (H) attracted just 2,612 *between 2 Super Dooper League Clubs*.

Last week Huddersfield Giants could only attract 6,666 at home in an all Super Dooper League clash with one of the best supported RL Clubs in the World, a Club who's supporters probably made up half of that number.

I would wager that Leigh Centurions season average attendance is higher than both Salford & Wakefield & not too far from Huddersfield's.

I would also wager that Hetherington is happier with the 2,000+ Leigh fans bringing cash to Leeds than he would be with 250 Giants fans.

Congrats to Leigh on a great set of performances through the qualifiers and a well deserved promotion.
Can see them beating us tonight as well to get a 100% record so again well done.
However, topping the qualifiers isn't important in my opinion, as a Leeds fan it was avoiding the million pound game and surely for Leigh fans it was getting promotion.
Tonight's game for me is the final part of what has been an appalling season for us and to be honest I can't wait for it to be over.

True, HKR did 7 from 7 last year and Wakey scraped through the MPG. Right from the off I never got the whole "we must aim for 7 from 7" or even to finish 1st. We did the job needed and we did it as quickly as it could've been done by Round 5.

Of course, i had forgotten who finished top of this middle 8s last year till you just reminded me. Securing SL status, or not, is all that will be remembered or matters really.

Some pillock posting something both untrue and damaging that started this thread. I carry a soft spot for Leeds, same problem with chants with both being single syllable maybe?, but more to it being the City of RL imo. Your enviable academy structures, and that of Wigan, breed tomorrows stars so the game owes you, hope we can get established and add to that player pool soon. Looking forward to great evening and plenty craic.
On my last visit to watch our clubs I had the pleasure of sharing a table with Harry, RIP Sir, who was questioning me where Tommy Sale was, now also watching from above, and Brian Bowman - Brian was at the game so Harry and him chewed quite a bit of fat that night.
