no. I said we enquired which was rebuffed straight away by the player. so no, there was no back up plan

Enquiring about another hooker is a back up plan, and that's just one that you've heard of, you can't sit there and say we didn't go for others such as O'Brien to make such a claim that we had no back up plan.

They had Sandow, but were unsure about Clarke and Gidley and therefore Myler, they also arguably still are not sure who is their best 6 7 and 1. On top of that many fans felt that TS was done.

The thing I like about Wire this year is their squad players are guys who've come through the academy who aren't complete rookies, and there's plenty of them.

I said I didn't know about others so fair enough perhaps they did. however we still ended up with a basement bargain hooker so we can't have tried very hard

I don't get a lot this "where is our planning", "we need to know about Segeyaro". It's like GH has come and said Segeyaro will be here next year and people dismiss it as a GH PR piece, so I don't know what can actually be said to confirm to people that he will be here in 2017. Until he lines up in Round 1 of 2017 for us people will be worried that he could depart and nothing said by the club will change that.

"Where is our planning?".....Probably in GH's office in private. That you haven't read it on here or in the YEP means nothing. Again I don't know what people expect, if he did come out and say changes were coming people would again dismiss him until they saw it happen.

i would imagine and i most sincerely hope that segeyaro's contract situation for 2017 is already known by our club but that a code of silence is in place until our sl status is confirmed should he be leaving for home

i would be totally gobsmacked if we had him at our club for 2017 as imo he is without a doubt the best 9 currently playing in this hemisphere without question,i certainly wouldn't choose to swap him for any of the 9's that we've been linked with in recent years

imo the only way that chicko stays with us going forward is if all of the nrl clubs have their quotas filled for 2017,which i highly doubt!

As the poster said ,it's not just hooker that is fluid / could leave any time he gets an NRL offer.
There is also the FB problem between Zak&Sutty and the HB issue of an our main play makers being another year older, with one being increasingly out ddue to lots of little injuries and the other being not good enough as a starting 7 anymore, imo.
Lilley has potential but need game time and either a running 6 to play with consistently or we need an organising 7 he can learn from. Though knowing the coach ,Burrow would get the bench spot over Lilley.

We just have too many questions about the make up of the spine..given how bad this year has been, how odd some of the coach's decisions have played out again and again it is quite worrying that GH hasn't looked to make any announcement to ease Some of those fears.
Perhaps he's waiting for seasons end, maybe for season ticket renewals I don't know.

What I do know is that a lot of fans want some good news and proof that GH knows we have issues and is trying to fix them , ATM it seems to be pretend it's OK.
