Leeds are currently playing outside the top domestic competition for the first time since the 1902/03 season. Their current most inflential player - the one that has made a difference - is only here on loan with absolutely no guarantee he'll be back here in 2017. Their best player in 2016 over the season has arguably been Rob Burrow. The coach is here until he decides otherwise.

Anybody looking forward to next season?

I'd be very surprised if there wasn't at least one 'big' (ish) signing for next year. In the past GH has stayed fairly quiet - even saying outright we won't be signing anyone else and then doing exactly that. He also won't be able to dust off the old 'we've come off a great season and look forward to the same team challenging for honours again next year' guff.

Whilst BM and the senior players haven't covered themselves in glory (quite the opposite), some of this year's problems can be traced to poor planning and recruitment. If GH hasn't been frantically looking at sorting out some of those issues then that's entirely down to him. If we go with basically the squad we have now without Segeyaro or Hardaker then it would be hard to blame BM or any other coach for anything other than a struggle next year.

Can't say I'm particularly excited. Saints v Wigan should have been two top teams at the top of their game (certainly at this stage at the season) jockeying for position in the top 4, but the skill level was awful, intensity was low (mainly due to the landslide of mistakes breaking the game up every 2 minutes) and the complete 80 minutes on show was total garbage as entertainment. The fact Leeds are incapable of matching even this level of mediocrity does not bode well.

I hate to say this but watching Super Rugby on a Saturday morning gets me more excited than Superleague on a Friday night.

I think we could be in for a very bad year next year, especially if we lose Segeyaro and don't have a good replacement lined up.

As for Saints vs Wigan... neither side has really shown any flashy entertaining rugby for a few years now. Surprising in Saints, less so in Wigan.

Yes, i had the opportunity to watch it too but watched the womens hockey instead and flicked on for the score. In days gone by i would have looked forward to that derby as much as any game.

I hope that Segeyaro stays as he's been great for us since his arrival
I still haven't seen him hit his 2014 Penrith Panthers form yet though so theres plenty more to come from him if he stays

My Main concerns for 2017 revolve around us having a quality Hooker in place and also that some of our ageing players that have suffered injuries year on year get back to having an injury free run
How they will go with another year on the clock next season?

Burrow, Magsy and JJB are still contracted until 2017
Delaney and Ablett until 2018

IMO we have 5 players there that will be with us for at least the 2017 season that are sadly on a downward spiral performance wise and unless they choose to retire early then we are not going to get the major overhaul that our squad requires due to the salaries that these players are on,If these players miss as many games in 2017 then we could be struggling again

However If we keep Segeyaro, Or sign another quality 9, and all these 5 players have a good injury free run then we could still be in the mix for honours as sadly the standard in SL is 5h1te
