I can see why you'd think that way but I don't think that's the case here. I think the fact we've continued to play him and the fact the club did a tribute video for him shows they still want him back and I don't think the situation is that he's jumping ship just because we're not doing so well.

So I'd be happy to have him back on the condition that his daft ways on and off the pitch are at an end.

If he can get his head right Zac will go well in the NRL - the ideal position for him is winger in the NRL

He's won everything in Super League. He wants a crack at the NRL. We all wanted Gareth Ellis back after he went to Wests! I would really love to see Sutty play out of his skin at FB though.

It may be selective memory but I don't remember Ellis having s blinding season followed by a total shocker coinciding with a team slump and then deciding to leave.

Besides that the club have stuck by Zak through continuous issues.

I've no issue with Zak wanting to test himself in the NRL but his timing shows a lack of class for me. That's why I don't want him back if things go bad in the NRL. I don't want us to be his soft landing.

Cut your nose off to spite your face? So when he doesn't make it in the NRL and nobody offers 300k, we should just release him and make another team stronger? He's a good player dogged by personal issues. Some self inflicted, but that hasn't been the case this year. Judging by the reactions on twitter, the players love him too. So he obviously not a distraction in the dressing room.

Ellis also didn't have a personal issue to run away from, which none of us would want. And he hasn't had s total shocker, the club as a whole has gone to pieces and needs rebuilding.

I honestly don't see it that way. Over the last 3-4 years Zak has been great and he deserved MOS last year. However, this year when things have been tougher he has vanished. Not got worse or had a dip in form but totally disappeared.

He should have been one of the players stepping up this year to take control, some on here talked about him as a potential captain even.

Instead of that though it appears he has been talking to GH about a new challenge. Hell, if picking us off the bottom of the league isn't a challenge I don't know what is!

I know nothing of his personal challenges that aren't his making, I'm not ITK or whatever and I speak as I see.

I wish the kid luck, if he makes it in the nrl and we get some cash everyone wins. If not then yes he will have to come back but I won't be getting all love struck cos we have him back.
