If leeds finish in the middle 8's they will be playing super league teams they have already lost to plus riled up championship teams eager for their biggest scalp. Now presumably if Leeds do end the regular rounds in the middle 8's it will possibly mean they have continued to falter and struggle with injuries which will make it no easy task. Should Leeds get some players, and their mojo back then they could well sneak into the 8 and not have to contemplate this. If leeds do finish in the middle 8's then the best scenario currently for that would be that they go on a run and narrowly miss out on the top 8 so that they go into the middle 8's at least something like.

Whether leeds are to finish in the top 8 or not, they need to get performance levels up, irregardless. People that think that leeds can toss it off now and then breeze through the middle 8's and get the season done need to think again.

No one is really doing badly in the league, relatively speaking. Leeds are the odd ones out. Obviously huddersfield aren't where they want to be but their performance levels are higher than leeds and they should start to pick up more and more points now. Salford are only down at the bottom because of the points deduction. Wakefield are on a great run and in the 8, widnes poor form is offset by their blistering start. Hull kr started poorly but their performance level is up, picking up points and in contention for top 8. You look through every team and we are the odd ones out,

10 games to make up 6 points, Leeds will do it easily, can you get to 5th or 6th to give you a shot at the top 4 in the Super 8's, not sure about that, games are running short for that.

Assuming the top 8 teams 5 and 6 points in front dont win many games too I presume. Its a tough ask now for Leeds

I predict we will eventually find form but it looks like being too late now.

If we do with players returning its hard not to see us blowing away the middle 8 teams. Pretty much a non event which is why i hope we can have a run in the cup to keep the season a bit intersting until september.

Last year 20 points was required to make the top 8 so on that basis Leeds need 14 points from 10 games - it can be done but it will be a very tough ask.

Middle 8s will be a stroll - no need to panic about relegation

I agree with most on here we still can make top 8 but even if we don't we should breeze through middle 8's but we'll have to see what develops over next couple of months or so.

Have you seen the standard in the Championship? Don't let a couple of freak Cup results fool you, if Leeds can't finish at least fourth in the Middle 8s and beat a Championship club at home in the MPG then they deserve to go down.

Absolutely. It would be a bit of a shock not to see us top of that table if we have the majority of players fit by that stage. A pretty pointless exercise but one we will have nobody but ourselves to blame for having to go through. We need to turn it into a positive though by continuing to give the young lads game time and build up some confidence ready to hit the ground running in 2017.

Middle 8's will still be a relegation of sorts given that the 2016 SL Regular Rounds 24 to 30 will not include Leeds.

When was the last time Leeds were left to compete outside the top tier?

I for one don't want Leeds to suffer that fate - no silver lining in dropping out of the elite comp.

lose on Friday , season over . Then concentrate on getting players fit and fresh for next season , sign a quality Hooker and half back . Achurch and Falloon out . Super league champions 2017 and this year forgotten
