My point is your talking out of your sphincter again. You said no one would get close to Leeds. Leigh almost did. With a better Leeds team. I am not particularly worried about the Middle 8 but don't think it's gonna be a walk in the park on current form

I would say it depends on our injury list at the time. Not a gimme that we'll be near full strength at that time of year. Approaching Easter we thought our injury list was starting to ease with the likes of McGuire, Falloon, JJB, Ablett, Briscoe returning but then most of them got re-injured and added Cuthbertson, Ferres and Moon to the list with them. Yes players currently out sound like they'll be returning within the next month at various stages with the exception of Ward but could easily see them (or others) pick up another injury,

If we are looking like now with 7/8/9 guys missing it could be very tricky, but only a couple of guys missing then we'd be comfortable.

Agree.

As others have said a much shorter injury list and form and more than that wins will be key. If we go into middle 8's have kept losing most games with key men missing , I think it could be very tough. Confidence By then will be even lower and this team will be under a world of pressure not to go down. The other teams at bottom of SL are playing better than last year and Leigh and Bradford are planning the whole year on the play-offs. Hudd, wakey, hull KR and Salford have all beaten us this season. I expect an upturn but I have been waiting for it all year and at latest needs to come in June and July. If so we could and should get some big wins.

When we lost to the likes of Wakey, HKR and Salford though that was when we were at our lowest point IMO in terms of confidence, effort and performance. I think the last three weeks we have improved a decent amount from those areas in the previous games. Whilst not saying those things have become great it's been a step up recently and had we done that a few weeks earlier then we wouldn't have lost to teams over Easter.

Fair point and agree would expect us to keep improving but each game is still littered with moments of poor play and to date we lose most tight ones.

Assuming all 4 SL clubs do ok against championship clubs the reality is one SL club will come 4th and be in the million pound game if a champoinship side went all or most of the way they could they could be promoted or finish 4th. This would perhaps leave a SL to play away in the MPG or could end up with 2 SL clubs playing to stay in SL the season for you guys is far from over at the moment your quest is to get out of the bottom 4 or at least ensure you stay in SL.

watching some of the Batley game against Cats last night and although they can't be faulted for effort they looked a million miles from SL standard. For me only Leigh have a punchers chance this year of making SL this year and that would take the SL team being way off in the million pound game and them doing everything right. Its a long shot anyone to go down

I've said this from day one of this middle 8's format. The odds are so much on favour of Super League clubs, it's very very unlikely a Super League club will ever be relegated. Of course, if a club is in financial trouble and has to get rid of players mid-season to stay afloat then it's a different story.
Even Wakefield survived relegation by getting rid of the bad wood who's heart wasn't in it and replaced with better quality and a decent coach. If Wakefield at their lowest ebb survive then no club in SL should have anything to worry about.

Hope you are right biff.
Did not see batley but we don't look like SL team either.
are there any odds on leeds going down.? If they offer you less than 11-1 .....
I am no gambler. Last 2 bets have been Wigan to win GF - lost £100. The backed hull at Leeds £20 this year. Both did the trick. May be time for me to Unleash the moths in my wallet again. uncle gary take note you need to do the same
