What would be gained by Hetherington making a statement on the current situation? Why does it have to happen? And what relevance does any statement and whether it's made or not have with his comments on Salford?

The performances have been commented regularly on by the head coach. How to turn the situation around has been commented on regularly by the head coach. The progress at Kirkstall has been commented on by the club.

Fortunately Hetherington doesnt come out with statements re the team when they're not needed or helpful to the club. Unlike some other club CEO's/owners who can't seem to keep their mouths shut and react like childlike fans rather than leaders of their club.

Agreed but hes only been after his own benefits. Remember while he's been our CEO his wife has had equal/similar roles at hull.FC and wakey. Not as passionate about his club as some may think until pound signs flash!

Maybe a reporter asked him his opinion? The Salford issue wasn't an on-field issue, it was an off field financial/rule issue.....if he was critisicng some teams on field performance then fair enough but he's not.

I'd say different squads at the time is important. That was an experienced squad at the time when he commented on the squad a few years back (btw didn't people do the usual and not believe him anyway?) Quite a few youngsters now who were given faith to go forward with post Sinfield-era.....maybe you have to take into account the differing places the squad is at before you go out making public comments highlighting their form just to satisfy some fan annoyance?

I'm sorry but thats just crazy. Not sure what his wife has to do with it either.
